Studio Crew
A fine group of people who see things from the studio before everyone else — and who I occasionally ask for a favour. You could say it is for friends of the studio. Nothing here costs money, and there is no paid tier.
What you get
Betas of my apps before they go public. New pages and features on this site while they are still rough enough to be worth arguing about. Now and then, the reasoning behind a decision that never makes it into a release note.
What I will ask of you
To try a beta and tell me what broke. To look at something new and say whether it makes sense. And sometimes, if you genuinely like an app, to leave an honest review where it helps.
Honest is the operative word: I will never ask for a particular rating, and there is nothing to win by leaving one. Nothing you get here depends on you saying yes to any of it — ignore every request I ever send and you stay in the crew.
How it works
Two parts, and you can take either one on its own.
Crew mail
Goes out through the normal newsletter, tagged so it only reaches the crew. Tick the crew box when you subscribe, or switch it on later from the link at the bottom of any issue.
Tick Studio Crew on the form. Already subscribed? The same box is in your subscription settings, linked at the bottom of every issue.
Signal group
For the time-sensitive things — a beta that is only up for a few days. I am the only one who posts there; it is set to announcement-only, so you will not get pulled into a group chat. If you want to answer, write to mail@simonbraun.studio.
Signal is a separate service with its own terms and privacy policy, and joining is between you and them.
Leaving
Untick the crew box in the newsletter portal and you are back to ordinary issues. Leave the Signal group whenever you like; you do not have to tell me.
